Ophthalmic Assistant - OD Hall

An Ophthalmic Assistant performs preliminary work-ups for patient exams including obtaining medical histories, administering diagnostic tests, and measuring and recording vision.  The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the ophthalmology field and the ability to take patient histories, scribe, tonopen applanation, refract, work with trial frames and lenses, OCT, visual fields, keratometry, contact lens I&R and knowledge of ophthalmic terminology.  Travel between satellite offices may be required.  Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred.

Ophthalmic Assistant - Admit

An Ophthalmic Assistant to work in the Admit department.  In addition to previous experience in the ophthalmology field the candidate must have experience as a Medical Assistant.  The candidate should be able to perform pre-op and post-op patient testing, should be able to take patient vital signs, and administer 12 lead EKGs.  Strong organizational skills and detail orientation are a required.  Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred.

Licensed Physician Assistant or (ARNP)

Physician Assistant to work with our physicians to provide patient care and manage patient flow at our busy Main Clinic in Ft. Myers. Candidates must be organized, have a strong attention to detail, and excellent patient interaction skills. Florida License required.

Customer Service Representative Float - Satellite Locations

A Customer Service Representative willing to travel to our South Satellite locations.  A Customer Service Representative checks patients in and out, collects co-pays at the time of visit, schedules appointments, balances the cash drawer, batches the credit card machine, schedules appointments and verifies insurance. The ideal candidate is computer literate, has exceptional organizational skills, the ability to multitask, provides excellent customer service and works cooperatively with office staff to insure a productive environment. Previous experience in a busy medical office is required, bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.

Patient Financial Counselor

A Patient Financial Counselor explains and quotes surgical and procedure fees to patients prior to scheduling services. They ensure all required forms are completed by the patient, obtains pre-certifications for surgery, and verifies insurance coverage prior to date of surgical procedure.  The PFC must be able to answer patient billing and insurance coverage questions.  This person must posses excellent communication, writing and organizational skills.  Previous experience in a busy medical office is required, bi-lingual English/Spanish is preferred.
