Clinical Studies
Eye Centers of Florida engages in extensive research of medical devices and
diseases of the eye, through FDA Clinical Trials (or medical
research studies). Our past and current studies have included Intraocular Lens
(IOL), Accommodating Intraocular Lens, and Implantable Contact Lens (ICL) design
and materials, as well as studies for Pharmaceutical companies for eye conditions
such as Dry Eye Syndrome, Pink eye, Blepharitis, Age-Related Macular Degeneration,
and Diabetic Retinopathy. We also have a study using a VRT device to assist
in improving reading for patient with Dry Macular Degeneration.
Manufacturers also designate us as a clinical investigation site by including
us on their list of approved locations when they have technical and diagnostic
equipment to evaluate prior to offering it to other eye care professionals.
