What is a Flexible Spending Account
A Flexible Spending Account (FSA) is an employee benefits program that allows employees the option of setting aside a certain amount of money from each paycheck before paying income tax on the funds.  A Flexible Spending Account, sometimes called a "Flex Plan", offers tax savings by allowing you to pay for out-of-pocket medical expenses with pre-tax dollars.

Most FSA plans require the employee to determine the monthly contribution for the upcoming year prior to the beginning of the year. Please consult with your employer to determine if they have a Flexible Spending Plan in place for their employees.

Vision Correction Procedures and Flexible Spending Accounts
