Reconstructive Surgery
Our surgeons perform repairs to the areas surrounding the eye. Reconstructive surgery may be necessary to correct birth defects or to repair damage from injury or disease, or secondary to the effect of aging.
For these and all other conditions, the first step in treatment is a careful evaluation by our cosmetic surgeron. A medical history, physical examination, and assessment of the problem and its affects on vision, health of the eye, and cosmetic appearance, are all part of the evaluation process. Some conditions can be controlled with medication and therapy. Others require surgical correction. Whatever treatment is required, the preservation and improvement of vision is our first concern. As ophthalmologists our surgeons bring to each case an understanding of the nature of the eye and its supporting tissues, as well as the latest advances in ophthalmology and their application to eye care.
