The Aesthetic Center at Eye Centers of Florida offers a non-invasive approach to skin care and skin rejuvenation. ActiveFX Fractional Technology:
ActiveFX is a fractional laser procedure performed in a single treatment with minimal patient downtime. During the procedure, a high-energy beam of laser light is used to smooth out lines, wrinkles and scars, remove brown spots and other irregularities, and tighten the skin. It also stimulates formation of new underlying collagen to continue improvement over time. With fractional laser treatment, only a fraction of the skin’s surface is treated by the laser, leaving small “bridges” of untouched skin. This technique makes the healing process much faster and enables the patient to get back to normal activities sooner.

The results of ActiveFX laser treatment are long-term and, with proper sun protection, can persist for many years. Most effects of treatment become visible right away, whereas others – such as new collagen formation, which leads to continued inner tightening – build up gradually and become more evident over time. Therefore, most people look even better 3-5 months after the procedure.

A topical anesthetic is applied to the skin 30 – 40 minutes prior to treating the skin. There is little pain associated with the procedure- most patients say they feel a warmth similar to a sunburn. With a gentle washing and moisturizing regimen, your photo-damaged skin will begin to flake off within 2 days. After 3-5 days, most women are able to wear makeup. Pinkness should be gone in about 3 weeks.

Photorejuvenation ONE by Lumenis:
Lumenis is the Gold Standard for IPL and Lumenis One™ is the flagship system. The Lumenis One™ is a fourth generation Intense Pulsed Light system with a patented technology that optimizes power, pulsing, and light delivery, providing maximum results, comfort, and safety. Harnessed within this one machine are the power and capability to treat a variety of skin problems on any area of the body. This laser allows the practitioner to deliver a special range of wavelengths of light in customizable pulses. IPL, EPI, & ND YAG are the modalities through which the power is delivered.

Intense Pulsed Light - IPL: the Intense Pulsed Light modality strengthens and rejuvenates collagen and treats sun damaged skin, reduces freckles, sun spots, mottled pigmentation, ruddy complexion, and helps to manage rosacea. Depending on the number of conditions to be treated and the severity of each, a series of 4- 6 treatment sessions may be recommended. A topical anesthetic is sometimes required. Patients may return to work the same day and resume all regular activities immediately following treatment.

Epi-light Hair Removal System is a non-invasive light therapy - EPI: Imagine never having to shave, tweeze or wax again! With the EPI modality, permanent hair reduction is a dream come true! Treat unwanted hair on virtually any area of the body. With this new technology, it is not necessary to have any hair growth. Best results are achieved through a series of 4-6 treatment sessions. Only a topical anesthetic is necessary. Patients may resume normal activities immediately following treatment.

Laser Vein Removal with ND YAG: With the Yag modality, laser treatments can lessen and remove the appearance of unwanted veins from the face and legs. A series of treatments can shrink and close the unwanted vessels which gradually fade over several weeks. Although a topical anesthetic is needed, injections are not. Patients may return to their normal activities immediately following treatment.

Aluma Skin Renewal:
A revolutionary treatment for wrinkles, fine lines, and skin laxity. This revolutionary technology called FACES (Functional Aspiration Controlled Electrothermal Stimulation) results in energy being deposited deep in the skin virtually without pain. Skin is gently drawn into the tip of the handpiece. Energy is delivered resulting in a gentle warming of the deeper layers of the skin. This stimulates the production of new collagen while remodeling and “plumping” existing collagen at the same time. Fine lines are reduced and skin is tightened as new collagen is deposited in the dermis. Six treatments complete this virtually painless series. Maintenance requires only one treatment per six months following the completion of the initial series. Although most patients report noticing improvement within a month, the skin should continue to improve for several months after treatment as new collagen continues to be generated.

Gentle Waves LED Photomodulation:
Natural, variable wavelengths of light gently treat the signs of aging such as fine lines, hyperpigmented lesions and other skin problems associated with photoaging. Photomodulation is the interaction of light delivered through Light Emitting Diodes (LED) to activate cells causing them to produce collagen or multiply. Gentle Waves is highly complementary with other modalities (i.e. microdermabrasion, IPL; etc) , boosting the efficacy of the treatment. Results with GentleWaves are progressive, thus a series of treatments over a period of time (to be determined by your skin therapist) will provide the most correction.

Vibradermabrasion/Microdermabrasion:
Treats fine lines and wrinkles, age spots, sun damage, uneven pigmentation, adult, and hormonal acne. Vibradermabrasion is a new, grit free form of microdermabrasion that comfortably improves skin tone and texture with a patented vibrating paddle. Don’t be fooled by how relaxing this treatment may feel! It delivers a stimulating punch of collagen boosting power that dramatically and visibly improves skin! We generally recommend about six treatments in order to achieve long lasting results. After that, a maintenance program (one treatment every 4-6 weeks) is highly recommended to keep skin in its best condition.

Advanced Micro Peels:
Glycolic acid, lactic acid, or one of our botanical peeling agents may be chosen to gently exfoliate any condition of skin. Exfoliation of the outer layer of the skin removes the dull build up of dead skin cells, leaving tired skin refreshed and renewed. Micro Peels may be performed alone, or in concert with other treatments such as Microdermabrasion, for deeper penetration and stimulation.

Permanent Cosmetics:
Intradermal Pigmentation is a revolutionary method of applying micro insertions of natural pigments into the dermal layer of skin. This state-of-the-art technique is medically proven and specifically designed to be completely safe. Intradermal Pigmentation is used for a variety of permanent cosmetic enhancements such as permanent eyebrows, eyeliner and lip liner/color. Other permanent cosmetic procedures include vitiligo, stretch mark and scar camoflauge, areola restoration, hairline enhancement and more.
