Personal
Sunil M. Malkani, M.D., a highly experienced retina specialist, joined the team of professionals at Eye Centers of Florida in 2005. He is a talented surgeon with particular expertise in treating diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal membranes, retinal detachments, macular holes, and other diseases of the retina. His previous post was Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Florida. He was also an instructor at the University of Florida and the VA Hospital in Jacksonville. He has published his research in various ophthalmic journals and has presented his work at many national conferences. Born and raised in Nashville, TN, Dr. Malkani is an active tennis player and enjoys finance and investments. Recently married, he and his wife enjoy traveling and watching college basketball together.
