David C. Brown, M.D., F.A.C.S. Selected by Lenstec as a Medical Monitor

FORT MYERS, FL (December 29, 2010) Eye Centers of Florida is proud to announce that David C. Brown, M.D., F.A.C.S., Founder and Medical Director, has partnered with Lenstec to serve as a Medical Monitor for their cataract implant lens research.  Lenstec is a leader in implant lens development and currently offers the new and highly regarded Softec HD Lens.

Dr. Brown has been a pioneer in the field of cataract surgery, having been involved in numerous studies in the FDA approval process.  He also is an innovator and inventor as he holds a number of patents for devices used in conjunction with cataract surgery.

As a Medical Monitor with Lenstec, he will serve them as a resource and advisor on new lens development.  Other physicians participating in FDA studies, will have access to Dr. Brown's knowledge and expertise for guidance as the approval process moves forward.
