I switched my daughter & I from another local Port Charlotte optometrist/retailer for many reasons that left us dissatisfied. We are SO GLAD we did...From the moment we entered the store we felt welcomed and valued. Both receptionists greeted us with big smiles & "good morning." Every staff member who passed by greeted us/was super friendly, even if we were not on their schedule. We were offered coffee, tea (including a variety of options), or other drinks while we waited for our appointments by the gentleman who fits and assists you with purchasing glasses. (I'm so sorry! I forgot his name!) The wait time was less than 10 minutes, and it felt less like waiting for a doctor's appointment and more like sharing morning coffee with friends.Our exams were incredibly thorough and the doctor spent as much time as we needed answering questions. I especially had questions due to some of the results following dilation. I felt very confident that I could proceed onto other doctors to take the necessary steps after consulting with the optometrist! Also, during the exam the optometrist double and triple checked everything and reassured us that we had 90 days to come back and have any adjustments made free of charge.Let me return to the waiting room we are given glasses to protect our eyes from the glare. The gentleman who originally gave us drinks had already selected 10 or so pairs of glasses for each of us. He gave his opinion and talked us through all of the options, measured and marked the glasses that we selected, and had them ordered within 30 minutes of our leaving the store. He additionally set up patient portals so we could reorder contacts when needed. Prior to leaving, he also reiterated how we could expect to feel following dilation, shook both our hands, and walked us to the door!My daughter said she felt bougie following the appointment! It was an extremely pleasurable experience with professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging staff! We are VERY happy to have made the switch & highly recommend this office/retailer!
