Before Dr. Tsipursky came to Champaign I had lost most of the sight in my left eye following multiple detached retinas and surgeries. I then developed a macular hole in my good eye. Neither I nor Dr. Tsipursky were anxious for surgery because that was my only usable eye, and we know there are always risks. But when the condition continued to deteriorate it became obvious that surgery was my best option. After going through about 3 weeks of complete blindness after the surgery, I regained sight in that eye. Now, 6 years later, I still have 20/20 vision in in my right eye. I do have a little macular distortion, but I can lead a normal life. Thanks to the skill of Dr. Tsipursky I have been able to enjoy trips to Africa, Ireland, Italy, and two around-the-world cruises visiting over 80 countries. Thank you Dr. Tsipursky for giving me my visual life back. And in addition to being an excellent surgeon, he is also a very nice person who truly cares about his patients. 5 stars
